Tina's Toasty Toes is super excited to announce that we will be vending at the Fiberworld 2020 Show! What's Fiberworld? Well, I am glad you asked!
Fiberworld is an immersive, web-based fiber show that has been designed to feel as much like being at an in-person show as possible.
It is an online environment, where teachers teach classes to students who are watching and learning from home (or anywhere else) and vendors can talk directly to attendees while in their virtual booths. It incorporates the delightful randomness of taking a break to knit on a project, while someone else sits at the next table and looks over their new purchases and you strike up a conversation and make a new friend from across the country.
Fiberworld keeps traditions of having marquee Hosts from the fiber industry, giving talks and wandering the halls to talk with attendees and fashion shows where designers and vendors show off their latest and greatest. It also includes new things, like more opportunities for interesting talks from a wider variety of speakers on a wider variety of topics and fashion shows that anyone, anywhere can participate in. The virtual aspect allows more people from all around the world to meet; for those whom in-person shows present physical or financial barriers, it is a new chance to participate more fully.
Fiberworld is also more than a fiber show. It encompases lifestyle as well. The mission addresses our audiences’ whole selves -- crafting and everything else outside of crafting: education, wellness, justice, environment, family. This redefines what we used to think of as "domestic" interests, to a more expanded view of our circles of influence: our community.
There is a star-studded line up of hosts, vendors, teachers, and more. To get marketplace tickets, sign up for classes, or just to find out more, visit www.fiberworld2020.com
Fabulous new shawl knitting kits are here courtesy of knitwear designer Casapinka! The Hug Shot Shawl is a beginner friendly knit shawl that uses two skeins of fingering weight yarn. The pattern comes free with the purchase of any of the shawl kits now through June 7. Visit the pattern kits page for more information!
The fantastic new crochet shawl pattern from Rachy Newin Designs is here, and Tina's Toasty Toes is offering kits!
There are two types of kits available. Both kits include one skein of hand dyed yarn and a high quality, color laser printed version of the crochet pattern. The printed pattern also includes a Ravelry download code, so you can add the pattern to your Ravelry library as well.
The first kit is the Melted Crayons colorway version of the shawl, as shown in the photos above. To purchase that kit, go to this page and add it to your cart. The photos above show the shawl on our Toasty Yak Toes fingering weight yarn base. That's what gives the colorway it's warm, rich gray background. The Melted Crayons colorway is available on all of our bases, but only Toasty Yak Toes has a gray background. All others will have a creamy white background. The kit listing here allows you to choose your yarn weight and base, and prices will vary depending on the base you choose. Visit the link for complete details. Buying the kit saves you $2 over buying the yarn and the pattern separately, with no need for a coupon code.
Don't like the Melted Crayons colorway? That's OK. We've got you covered. You can make your own shawl kit by putting the pattern in your shopping cart and then choosing any other skein of yarn. The pattern page has a coupon code on it for you to use to take $2 off of your yarn, giving you the same savings as if you'd bought the kit above. To use the coupon code you must place both the pattern and the yarn in your shopping cart. The pattern is not available on it's own from Tina's Toasty Toes (but you can get it directly from Rachy on Ravelry) and the coupon does not apply to yarn alone. Orders that come in that do not meet these requirements will be canceled.
Join us for a Crochet Along!
The Crochet with Rachy Facebook Group is doing a crochet along with this gorgeous crochet pattern. Visit or join the group to take part in this fantastic event. The event starts on June 15, so order your kits before June 5 to ensure that you receive your yarn and pattern in time!

Ready-to-Ship items such as RTS Yarn and enamel pins need to be ordered no later than December 16, 2019.

Happy holidays from Tina's Toasty Toes!
Holiday shopping for crafters can be hard sometimes. Maybe you're unsure of which craft exactly your loved one does. Do they knit? Crochet? Weave? Spin? Felt? If you're not sure of the difference between a crochet hook and knitting needles, this post is for you.
There are plenty of gifts for craft enthusiasts that don't actually entail the craft they do. Picking a gift like this will avoid returns after the holiday. Gifts such as project bags and enamel pins are hugely popular! Our selection of project bags includes non-craft specific bags such as the yarn heart tote bag and the yarn heart enamel pin. Both of these products show off your recipient's love of yarn without making the mistake of buying a gift for the wrong craft.
If you are certain of your recipient's craft(s) of choice, that's even better. We have a full selection of craft-specific mugs, totes, and enamel pins for you to choose from. These all make terrific stocking stuffers, or you can pair them with a Tina's Toasty Toes Gift Certificate and let your recipient choose their own yarn or other notions. Our gift certificates are especially good for last minute gifts, because they can be printed out at home or sent electronically to your recipient.
You'll notice that the one thing I haven't mentioned here for your gift recipient is yarn. You're probably questioning why a yarn seller like myself wouldn't suggest that as the first thing to buy as a gift. Here's the thing: yarn is a matter of personal choice. If you know your recipient well enough to know which weight of yarn they use the most, which fiber content they like the most, and which colors they like the most, then yes, yarn will make a fabulous gift. Yarn would also make a fabulous gift if you're like me, and you give your secret Santa direct links to the items you want the most. ;-) If you don't have that level of familiarity with your gift recipient, then the best thing to do would be to stick to a knitting or crochet notion (like a tote bag) or give them a gift certificate.
I want to wish all of you a very happy, healthy, and safe holiday season. Thank you for being part of the Tina's Toasty Toes family, and happy gift shopping!
One of the most frequent requests I've gotten at yarn shows has been for non-superwash weight yarn that can be felted. It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to my newest base yarn: Toasty Non-Superwash Worsted.
This yarn, like all of my others, is hand-dyed in small batches. This non-superwash yarn has great drape, and there's enough in each skein to whip (or WIP!) up a hat, cowl, or fingerless mitts. Each skein has 218 fabulous yards of yarn, and weighs 100 grams. The skeins are 100% Merino Wool.
Knitters and crocheters will enjoy working with this yarn as much as felters will. You can find all the colors of the rainbow on this base here.
Tina will be away on business from September 6 through and including September 12. All orders placed during this time will ship on September 13.
Print -on-Demand items will ship during their normal time frames and are not affected by this delay. Please take these dates into account when placing your orders. I will be available to answer questions on social media and through email.
Thank you for your patience during this time. I look forward to fulfilling your orders as soon as I get back.
